Lauren Berman, Esq., she/her/hers

Lauren serves as a Staff Attorney, and most of her time is spent on direct representation of low income Pennsylvanians. She also enjoys providing trainings, webinars, and other technical assistance for organizations providing services to low income households. When not representing individuals or providing trainings, Lauren assists on complex litigation cases and policy matters.

Gio Ortiz-Brackbill, she/her/hers

Gio serves as the Utility Justice Project Manager and is dedicated to addressing and alleviating unique barriers to utility service in low income communities. Specializing in training service providers, coordinating clinics and community events, and building a coalition of utility affordability advocates, she also provides direct representation, engages in impact litigation, and develops utility affordability resources with a focus on language access and accessibility issues. Gio actively centers PULP's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives in her work.

Laura Edinger, she/her/hers

Laura serves as the Senior Policy Analyst at PULP, where she evaluates and provides input on various existing and emerging policy initiatives and their impact on low income utility customers. Laura focuses her attention on Universal Service proceedings, working alongside and under the guidance of PULP’s attorneys, to ensure all Pennsylvania residents have access to life-sustaining utility services.

Kristen Firchak Geesaman

Kristen serves as the Manager of Direct Services at PULP, where she provides advice and advocacy to individuals calling PULP’s utility hotline. She also provides training for clients and other legal aid staff on utility issues and leads compliance, reporting, and database maintenance.

Harry Geller, Esq., he/him

Harry serves as Senior Counsel to PULP since his retirement as PULP’s longtime Executive Director in June 2015. He continues to provide advocacy, consultation and support services in energy and utility matters.

Madi Keaton, she/her/hers

Madi serves as the Energy Justice Coordinator at PULP, where she works to advance just and equitable energy and environmental justice policy for low income and communities of color. She also helps to coordinate PULP's coalition engagement and community partnerships, in addition to co-leading RHLS and PULP’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion work.

Elizabeth Marx, Esq., she/her/hers

Liz serves as the Executive Director PULP. She is the current Chairperson of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program Advisory Council and the Department of Community and Economic Development’s Weatherization Assistance Program Policy Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Public Utility Commission’s Consumer Advisory Council and the Department of Environmental Protection’s Climate Change Advisory Committee.

Ria Pereira, Esq., she/her/hers

Ria serves as a Supervising Attorney at PULP, where she provides legal representation, training, consultation, and support services in utility and energy matters affecting low income residents and community organizations in Pennsylvania.

Dina Schlossberg, Esq.

Dina serves as the Executive Director or Regional Housing Legal Services (RHLS), which administratively houses PULP. She has extensive experience providing legal representation to nonprofits developing affordable housing - with a special focus on design and development for vulnerable populations.

John Sweet, Esq., he/him

John serves as a Senior Attorney at PULP, where he provides legal representation, advocacy, training, consultation, and support services in energy and utility matters affecting low income residents of Pennsylvania.
